Kelsey hails from a family of coaches and athletes of every variety in Central California. She found her initial passion in volleyball and was recruited to play at the University of California, San Diego. During her time at UCSD, the Tritons remained nationally ranked all four years of her tenure and made an appearance at the Division II Final Four. Unfortunately, halfway through her senior season Kelsey blew out her knee. This turn of event led her to her true passion in life, Pilates. Initially drawn to Pilates for the rehabilitative qualities she had heard so much about, Kelsey knew it would become a life-long modality after seeing and feeling the significant changes it had made in her body.
Kelsey completed her comprehensive Pilates certification through Body Arts and Science International (BASI). She assesses and builds custom programs for each individual client based on the integrity of the BASI technique. She also believes in a well-rounded approach to fitness, adding to her repertoire a certification from Tracey Mallet to teach The Booty Barre. This distinct training has allowed her to combine her love of Pilates and dance, and gives her clients a fun and effective cardio & toning workout.
Kelsey’s extensive knowledge of anatomy and movement, paired with her natural ability to understand people, allows her to challenge and help her clients grow. With her commitment to guiding her students to move with proper form, she maximizes the benefits and results in each session. And very importantly, Kelsey’s love of teaching, her exuberant personality, and her creativity make each of her Pilates and fitness programs fun and fresh.

Why you Love Bootybarre – I love the flow and fluidity of the exercises and the smile it brings to my face each and every time. It never gets easier, just more and more challenging…. who doesn’t love that?
BIO – I starting dancing young like most girls but for me it was not only moving my body but being surrounding by friends and a community of like minded people. Through my senior years of school I loved stage theatre, singing, dancing and acting. I took a break from dancing whilst traveling and having my family but after having four children in five years I thought my body was wrecked and started looking for dance to become a part of my life again. This is when I discovered Bootybarre and from there things have just gone in leaps and bounds, completing my Pilates Certification and recently opening a studio in my home town post earthquake in Christchurch. I not only have friends from around the world that I connect with on a regular basis about Bootybarre but I get to go to my Studio everyday and teach bootybarre & Pilates to my community, in a safe open environment and I can bring a smile to their day!
